Family desperate to get picky eaters on healthier track!
After years with kids repeatedly throwing tantrums and refusing to eat nutritious foods, a family found themselves in a position where the children dictated the menus and healthy items were practically non-existent. The parents wondered if behavioral or dental issues were connected and grew concerned about the potential health risks. They were feeling desperate as the kids got older and began eating more food outside of the home.
These parents grew up in healthy eating homes themselves and wanted their kids to carry on traditions of eating wholesome, home cooked meals with their own families someday.
The parents were introduced to Empowered Wellness programs intended to adjust the children’s attitudes on healthier eating. Through an educational program where the kids learn the difference between "Farm" or "Factory" foods and a hands-on program called “Cooking for Superhumans”, they were taught in positive ways how different foods impact their bodies and how to start developing their own skills in the kitchen.
Within three months, there was a dramatic change. The children not only understood how certain foods impact their performance, they also had tools to look beyond a picture to identify what is really in a food package. The oldest girl embraced some independence in the kitchen and swears that she wants to be a chef when she grows up. The parents, a teacher and a sports coach have noticed positive behavioral changes with the youngest child. The parents are confidant that the changes are sustainable and that their valued traditions will now continue.
